She holds a Master's degree in Choreographic Creation and Professional Practices from the Lisbon School of Dance (2024), where she learned from Joana Von Mayer Trindade, Rafael Alvarez, Victor Hugo Pontes, Né Barros, André Lepecki, Ângelo Cid Neto, Tiago Cadete, Ana Trincão, and Amélia Bentes. Also holds a Mater's degree in Architecture from ESAP (2016), was part of the FAICC at the Centro Coreográfico Instável (2020) and completed the Dance course at the Institute of Arts Barcelona (2021).
As a choreographer, Catarina created CARLOS (2022), não é amor (2024), and que dia é hoje? (2025). She directed the project sobre os que voam (2025), a collaborative creation with the migrant community of Bonfim, in coproduction with Cultura em Expansão.
As a performer, she participated in: a hora em que não sabíamos nada uns dos outros by Olga Roriz (2023) and Dança, Onde Estás? (2024) by Né Barros on the 92nd anniversary of the Teatro Municipal do Porto (TMP).
